website? forums?
i guess if you want people to contribute.. then u might need a server to store the data if there are any post. If we are testing the idea perhaps we can start a forum since it allows posting of comments and pictures. Ive done a search and there are sites offering free setups of forums. If the forum is good (response) then we can start thinking of getting a professsional to do the website for us as Gab says. What say u guys? If its ok then the next line of discussion would be waht to include in the forum.

Sorry for the late reply. Find out the following details from my pal. They are using www.focushub.com for their web hosting.> Linux Spore > Windows Spore. recommanded is .com. The next step would be to explore this technical aspect..and what we want to host..my fren is willingly to let us advert on his site. we take our next best course of actions from here?

It is not advisable to get a server now as our website is raw. We can get a domain with a certain amt of gbyte to allow initial traffic. Till a point where alot of ppl actually contribute..we can then start and transfer our data into a server. A domain only cost a few hundred a year. Server is could be 800-900 per mth.
did ur fren say minimum how many gigabytes required? so we'll juz take focushub.com too? or do we wanna compare betwn diff providers like my website.ws, network solutions n go daddy?
If people only post text i guess we can just get a mid tier one, which is around hubtwo or hubthree according to focushub.com which is quite cheap. Im sure we can upgrade if people start contributing pictures as well or if response is good.. Thing is.. whos going to do the website??
It depends on how complex the website's gonna be. Simple one we can do ourselves with the features the domain package provides. If not then get a website designer, I juz got to noe one recently n I'm sure Gab noes some too. Shall we meet this sun to discuss the design? I suggest we meet at National Library coz there got wireless so we can surf for info while we discuss though the connection abit slow. Any suggestions for a place with fast free wireless?
not too sure where got fast wireless connections. Some cafes like pacific and hong kong cafes do have. Yup..is time to discuss further on this project. so how>
